The Adventure: The Wild. Your Way.

The core of the Severn River Outpost is complete isolation. We operate on a strict single-group policy—meaning when you book a wilderness package, your group has exclusive access to the entire 1,500-hectare property and 6 kilometres of private river frontage. There are no other public access points, no other anglers, and no crowds.

While most guests choose to book the self-contained Outpost Hut directly online, we offer custom, on-request fishing expeditions for anglers wanting to navigate the ancient granite canyons, rushing rapids, and deep, permanent waterholes with local expertise to help read the unique water of the Severn.

For these custom bookings, you can choose to stay in the comfort of the off-grid hut, or opt for a traditional, full tent-camping experience right on the river edge using high-quality RV3 Oztents at The Basecamp.

We’ve built the Outpost Basecamp Guided Fishing Adventure to be a ready-to-go wilderness experience. From the moment you arrive, we handle the logistics. We transit you into the gorge in our UTV, ensure your basecamp is set up ready for you, and provide everything you need—from quality fishing gear and kayaks to hot showers and hearty camp meals. All you need to bring is a change of clothes and a sense of adventure.
