The Outpost: Tradition Meets the Wild.

The Land: The Severn River Outpost is situated on private property in the rugged New England Highlands. The boundary is defined by a 6km stretch of the Severn River—a winding, ancient corridor of dramatic granite canyons, rushing rapids, and deep, permanent waterholes. Because this water serves as our border and is held in private hands, it remains a rare pocket of wilderness that feels exactly as it did a century ago.

The Vision: We created The Outpost because true, authentic bush experiences are becoming a rare commodity. As lifelong lovers of the Australian high country, we’ve always sought out those quiet, untouched corners where you can actually hear the silence. We purchased our property in 2024 and have now opened our gates to share this sanctuary with those who value a raw connection to the land, far from the crowds and noise of public access points.

Our Philosophy: High-End Gear, Traditional Spirit: We don't believe you have to "rough it" to have a real bush experience, but we do believe in leaving the modern world behind. Our basecamp is built on the pillars of functional hospitality—high-quality RV3 Oztents, hot shower, flushing toilet and hearty campfire meals—but the experience itself is driven by the rhythm of the river. Whether you are navigating the canyon water by kayak or exploring the ridgelines in our UTV, you are operating on "river time."

Your Hosts.

Corey & Bek Nash The Outpost is the realization of a shared dream to protect and share the kind of wilderness that shaped us. We believe the best way to experience the New England region is without the crowds, the noise, or the rush.

Corey | The Navigator Corey is your lead guide and the architect of your time on the land. With a lifetime spent in rugged terrain, he brings an intuitive understanding of the bush and the Severn’s unique water. From navigating the Pioneer through the high country to providing the local intel you need for a successful day on the river, Corey’s focus is on tradition, safety, and the art of reading the water. He is here to ensure you don’t just see the river—you understand it.

Bek | The Engine Bek is the force behind the Outpost experience. From your first inquiry to the final campfire meal, Bek ensures the logistics are seamless so you can focus entirely on the horizon. She curates the refined side of the wilderness—managing the basecamp details, the field provisions, and the small touches that make the Outpost feel like a private stronghold rather than just a campsite.

The Severn Awaits. We invite you to leave the noise behind and join us in the wild.
